This work is a critical reflection on the degradation of Portuguese tiles facades, existing in historic urban centers. As a way to promote the valorisation and recovery of this heritage, the project explores interaction and public collaboration using online platforms. It consists of two main areas: 1) physical tiles ready to paint distributed in kits and reproducing real facades; 2) a mobile app that scans the recreated tile and sends it to a dedicated web platform. This allows users to share their creations with a community and to see them virtually “restore” the damaged facades, emptying the voids of stolen or damaged tiles.
